    That's good advice
  • I read somewhere that eating a bite of dark chocolate will keep the cravings for sweets down. I have a jar of dark Hershey's Kisses just for that purpose. When I want something sweet I pop one in my mouth and suck on it until it's gone. I don't know why it works.

Also, I drink a fair amount of Crystal Light. It's sweet, and it's filling (the way water fills). I probably drink more than I should, but it's the lesser of many evils.

If I had a jar of chocolate by my desk, it would be gone by lunch! The crystal light sounds good though!
    Thanks

I have calcium chews that I take with my supplements in the morning. Tastes just like a tootsie roll and it usually kills my cravings for the day.

I've tried those once and they did not settle with me. I think because I drink milk it was too much calcium in my body. They tasted great though!
Thanks for the responses. I'm feeling better about diong this

Gum, lots and lots of gum. Sugar free/sweeter the better for me. As long as I am chewing, I trick myself I am eating and the burst of sweetness helps me get over that craving until I can find something to do...wonder why they don't make chocolate flavored gum??
  • The same thing happens to me. I eat one sweet and then I can't stop myself. It knocks me off the wagon completely, and I end up eating everything in site. It takes a couple days for me to get back on track.
I don't let myself have real sweets anymore. I make sugar free brownies every weekend and put the extras in the freezer to keep fresh. It takes about a minute in the microwave to warm up. I then put sugar free chocolate pudding over the brownie. The brownies aren't the sweetest on their own (they're sweetened with apple juice concentrate) but with the pudding it tastes like warm chocolate cake with frosting. At least that's what I tell myself. :) It is nice to look forward to a tasty dessert at the end of the day. Just find something that works for you that won't knock you off the wagon. Good Luck!

Yeah I have a hard time managing sweets so I just elimnate them, Gum works great though. And jello has a sugar free carmal pudding, I only can eat one a day though, so I have those a couple time a week and that helps.
  • teeny-mini chocolate chips...let them melt on your tongue and a little serving can last long enough to kick your craving!
