Started 172 back on January 28th. 5' 3.5" 27F, and I finally had enough. Hitting an "obese" BMI horrified me in a way being "overweight" never did. As of early January my thyroid was also finally under control so I had more energy. I can't tell you how many days prior to that I would literally come home from my desk job (and relatively low stress at that) and just lay on the floor in front of the tv b/c I no energy to do anything else. Even going to the grocery store would exhaust me to the point where I once literally started crying in the bread aisle.
Anyway as of Saturday I'm officially under 160, and today I weighed in at 158.8![:) :)](https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I do have pics in my profile (sorry they're sideways). Pretty much everything so far has come off my upper half. The one is after I had already lost a few pounds (pink), and the the other is from Saturday at 159 (blue).
I can honestly say I have never felt so motivated to eat better and to lose weight than I do right now. The main thing I have learned from MFP is that you need to be honest with yourself and then realize that there are no magic fixes. Also realize this is a life change and one day will not make or break anything.
