Moving Arms While Walking Or Not?

So, I know everyone says to move your arms while walking because it exhausts more energy. It's all over the Internet and everything.
But then awhile ago I stumbled upon this on Cracked:

So now I'm confused. Should I move my arms or shouldn't I?
Or does it not matter at all?
I know, Cracked isn't really the best site to get your weight loss tips from. But hey, what can I do? I'm really gullible

That's funny. Have you ever tried walking without moving your arms? Doesn't feel comfortable (or look attractive), haha!!
The only thing I can think of is that not moving your arms restricts your body's momentum to move forward so that in turn uses more energy?
I say keep moving your arms0 -
My hands and fingers swell if I don't swing them0

Do it both ways wearing a HRM and report on your findings0
