I've used MFP to lose 35 lbs prior to finding out I was pregnant with my son. 9 months and 30 lbs later I had my son. That was 14 months ago. Right after I had my son I was terrified to not eat whenever I was hungry for fear, since I was breastfeeding, that it would impact my milk supply and I wouldn't have enough to feed him. Now that he is 14 months old, he eats solids and still breast feeds pretty regularly, but I'm not nearly as concerned about it since he is a good eater.
So I'm sitting at about 255ish, which is only 5 lbs away from my heaviest. I am an emotional/bored eater and what really make me realize that I need to start taking care of myself again was my mother telling me that my portion sizes were "out of control". Wow. I knew I had been eating more, but to have my mother point that out was really eye opening.
So here I am, again. I'm tracking everything I put into my face. I'm trying to get out to exercise as much as possible, but between full time work and a needy 14 month old, it is hard. So if I don't work out one day, I make sure not to overeat and go over my calorie limits.
I'm really looking for friends on here that will help motivate me and hold me accountable. Finding friends who are around the same stats as me would be awesome as well! I look forward to joining everyone in their weight loss journeys!

Welcome back! You should be proud of yourself for getting back to it after your pregnancy. And you should also be proud of yourself for sacrificing your vanity and control over your weight for the health of your child. You sound like a great mom! Anyway, I know how it feels to lose and gain and lose and gain again. That has always been my weakness...I know what is healthy and what is unhealthy and I always end up going back to the unhealthy habits (I'm also a emotional/bored eater...). What has helped me most has been to adjust my goals and my inspiration. I used to inspire myself with thoughts of being thinner, more attractive, etc. but I've realized that vanity is a temporary and exhausting form of motivation. Instead, I've started to focus on longevity, energy, and adventure. For example, rather than setting a weight/skinny goal, a good focus could be elongating your life and being fit and healthy for your son! Most importantly, even if you slip, don't beat yourself up and don't give up. Good luck! Add me0
