Hey everybody,
So there is a wedding I don't want to go to..... now your probably asking well then don't go. Well there is a problem its my Husband Brother. I have no problem with him its her ( we will call her Marry)
Now why don't I like Marry well, the time when I was with my husband we were together for 7 years at that time and Marry tried to split us up and she was new to the family! There was a lot of stuff she done for example I got her a job at my work and she goes around telling bull **** lies to everyone at my work. ( glad she quit )
There was so much she dont to upset my husband and I so now she is not welcome in the house but my husband brother is aloud to come over and all.
Now the wedding we have to fly which is 3 hour flight and we have to rent a car and find a place to stay just for a one day wedding which is going to cost us so much money that its stupid.
Would you go?
OP, I've done a rewrite on this for you.
Hello, everybody.
I have a dilemma. My brother in law is getting married. However, I cannot stand the woman he is getting married to (code name: Mary).
Mary has caused a lot of problems for my husband and me. We had already been married for seven years when we first met Mary, and she tried to split us up. She ended up working for the same company that I do, and started spreading lies and rumors about me. Luckily, she no longer works for the company, but it was a real hassle for me to have to deal with all of her lies.
She has done a lot to hurt my husband, but I really don't want to go into all the details. My BIL is always welcome, of course, but Mary is banned from our home.
In order to get to the wedding, we'll have to take a 3 hour flight, rent a car, and get a hotel room for just one night. It really seems like a lot of hassle, and I'm not sure that it's worth it.
What would you do in this situation?
** Please note, OP, that you didn't actually say what your husband wants to do. His opinion on this issue > than the opinion of strangers on a forum.
Asked (properly) and answered, all in one post.

Me, too. And who is "Marry?" Marry is a verb, not a proper noun.0 -

I have a lot of friends (that I adore, in person...) who can't type coherently. I've learned. I would have expected that since our society has become so text based, that people would become more literate. Sadly, this does not seem to be the case for a lot of people. >_<0 -

Nope. And I'd offer the best argument for it ever. "We're too broke to afford this. My not going saves is over $200 on airfare. Oh, and it will save a ton of drama at your brother's wedding....and keep us married." :drinker:0

I know other people who were not taught proper grammar, spelling, or how to construct a sentence in school. Through no fault of their own, it's difficult for them to write clearly. They make an effort; they use spell checkers, and ask for a proof-reader on important messages. More relevant to this thread, they don't blame the readers for not understanding.0 -

Wow! I think a remedial English or grammar class would make it easier to get advice.0 -
Just a couple of things that I nearly hesitate to say for fear of causing offense: It if very difficult to tactfully tell someone that they need to take some classes in basic literacy: grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence fluency. Those skills have become even more important in a culture that conducts so much communication through on-line social networks. Yes, people are judged on their language use, so to be taken seriously, one must attend to that part of their education.
Secondly, as far as attending the wedding of a person you do not like, you must decide: is your attendance important to your brother-in-law? If the answer is yes, be a grown up, do your social duty, and be civil. If he really doesn't care one way or the other. . . or if your appearance would cause unnecessary family drama, your husband can go alone.0 -

"Wow! That is all I gotta say. I reposted it cause I guess the first one did not make since So I guess you will all dumb to not understand"
Yes, we are the dumb ones for sure0
