losing dress sizes?

Hi ! I'm really keen on losing two dress sizes by June. What do you think is the best way? Eating more protein? I can't afford stuff like quinoa because I'm on a graduate student, and since we share there are days we eat rice at home. What do you suggest?

    Eat less + move more!

Work out your BMR + TDEE and eat between these numbers - You can find online calculators for this.

Drinks lots of water, eat eggs, cottage cheese, nuts, seeds, chicken, fish, greek yoghurt, turkey etc.

Try brown rice instead of white - Eat complex carbs ie oats, sweet potatoes - Try and bin all the 'white stuff'

White rice, white bread, white potatoes etc.

Get some good fibre & wholemeal in your diet

Honestly, I think if you work on getting your 10,000 steps in every day and log your calories you will get there. Know how many calories you are eating of rice. Get your water in. And as a graduate student, try to remember that sleep is important to fitness as well.

Try studying standing up. get movement in anyway you can!
  • There is a lot of great, cheap and healthy food out there! I'm a student as well, so I understand. My go-to for groceries is eggs (boiled is a great, quick snack), brown rice, and various veggies. If you buy carrots and the like and cut them up yourself, they are very cheap.

I'm a meat fiend, so we buy tons of chicken breasts and port steaks when they are on sale and freeze them until needed.

Other than healthy eating, lifting has been great to me. Especially for women, weight lifting seems to do wonders.
