BodyMedia and calories

I've just gotten a BodyMedia armband and it gave me 1100 calories, on top of my 575 exercise calories. Is that right? That seems excessive. There is no way I could eat over 3000 calories a day and maintain, let alone lose weight. Anybody have any experience with this? It appears to work the same way my FitBit works, but does it account for exercise calories like the FitBit?

I guess I'm not understanding this. 1100 + 575 = 1675, how are you getting 3000? Did you get the Core or the Link?0

I have the Link. I'm getting the 3000 calories b/c MFP is adding the 1675 to my 1400 baseline calorie intake for my settings. I'm using a HRM for my exercise calories so I think they are pretty accurate. Just wondering if I'm "double dipping" by logging the exercise? Maybe I should let the armband do its thing.0

Just go by the armband. This is why I love mine--I can adjust my eating to my activity level. Move more, get to eat more.0
