Weight training at home with bench and dumbbells.

Hi I recently bought a bench and bow flex 1090 dumbbells. I have no access to a gym since the nearest one is about an hour away. I enjoy working out from home. I want to focus on weight training this year and learning all I can do from home.
Do any of you have good suggestions of what kind of routines i could follow. Any youtube videos or websites that will be a great tool for me? Ive seen so many people that have changed the course of their fitness journey by adding weights and I have been truly inspired.
Thanks
J

I recommend Stronglift 5x5 : http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/560459-stronglifts-5x5-summary
Check it out!0 -
Stronglifts 5X5 is a good program if one has access to a barbell. Was looking at this program yesterday for a friend, and it seems pretty solid to me: http://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/dumbbell-only-home-or-gym-fullbody-workout.html
My main suggestion with that routine is to stick with lower reps (the men's recommendations) and accordingly a higher weight. YOu should just be barely able to finish the top of the rep range with good form.0 -
Check out Body Beast by Beachbody. It is a at home workout that uses dumbbells. It looks interesting and ladies get good results with it. Don't let it scare you off that it seems to be marketed more towards men :-)0

Thank you for the suggestions :-)0

Hey there - I want to start a lifting program as well but without access to a gym, I thought an adjustable weight dumbbell set would be a good alternative. Check out the link below. It gives some good information on how to adapt barbell programs to dumbbells. I have not started yet - I need to get my weights
But I will likely go with New Rules of Lifting for Women.

I dont have the machine I have the dumbbells. However my husband did get the bow flex revolution which is different than that but curious what other things I could do with it.0

I work out from home using dumbbells and a cable machine... I'm at the end of Phase 4 of New Rules of Lifting for Women and enjoying it so far0
