I need a pat on the back..

Yesterday was day 15! Eating healthier, exercising regularly and I am down 7.4lbs.

Is it too early to get excited about all this??

I want to believe I am doing good but the back of mind says:

"Hey slow down! It's ONLY been 15 days! You've got a long way to go before we should be celebrating!"

I guess I just need some positive reinforcement that I am headed in the right direction :blushing:

    Nope, not too early!
For me, after about 3 weeks, I kind of knew that I could do this........................well I knew that it least it might be possible, lol.

Way to go! The best of luck to you! Keep it up!
  • Are you kidding? I can't wait to be down 7lbs!! I am just starting out and when I lose 7 lbs I will be jumping up and down in triumph. Everyday that you stick to it is a major victory. Kudos, girl! Keep up the good fight.

Congrats!! 15 days is well on your way that's half the month! Keep up the great work and reward yourself with something you can see! Maybe a scarf, shorts, or a top and every time you see it say wow I can do this and let that be something motivating.
Also I don't know if you took a picture of yourself prior but if you did take a picture of you in your new top and put it on the fridge. That way you can see your progress. You go girl, you are awesome and you did this on your own no one can take that away from you!! Keep it up:wink::flowerforyou:

I know I would be excited about 7 pounds. Way to go! Keep up the good work.

I'm not trying to be a downer at all, but I know how I am... Don't let it get you down when you the weight starts coming off slower than it currently is, as it typically will.

Fantastic progress so far!! I see people getting excited and doing well, then it gets tough and they quit. Just know that you may hit bumps in the road, such as plateaus, illness, stress, etc. I hope you don't experience any of those and this process goes smoothly, but just be aware...keep logging and staying active and you WILL succeed! Well done!

Exactly what I was going to day. That's an amazing job but please don't become discouraged when you don't lose 7.5 more pounds in another 15 days. You'll continue to lose but not at that rate.

That being said: *pat pat pat* great work sweetie...keep up the fantastic work. You're doing the best thing for yourself you can; getting healthy. Healthy leads to happy and happy leads to smiles and smiles leads to more happy.

Great job on sticking with it for 2 weeks! I think the first 2 weeks is the hardest. Now, please understand in the first 2 weeks you lose a lot of water weight, and you will not keep up this pace til the end. I lost about the same amount in my first 2 weeks, then actually gained a lb in the 3rd week, before I settled into 1-2 lbs a week. So don't freak out if you see no scale loss in week 3, or even a slight increase. Stick to your goals and the weight will come off.
Just think- a little over 1 lb a week will have you at goal in a year. A year may seem like a long time, but it really isn't. If you had started this a year ago, imagine where you would be now. Can you envision yourself at goal weight this time next year? Or even half way there?
I lost around 50 of 75 lbs in my first year. In the past, I would have thought of myself as failing since I didn't make goal when I wanted to, but I looked and felt SO fantastic compared to the year before. NO WAY could I see that as a failure!

When you start to get frustrated, look at the progress you HAVE made.
Also, take your measurements now so that when the scale doesn't move like you want, you can see progress with inches.

:drinker: Here's to a fantastic year for you!
