Newbie in Portland looking for friends

I just started MFP a month ago, and just recently found the forums. I don't know many people in the area or in general due to the nature of my job. In this past month I've been working so hard at eating better and getting my butt up and exercising. I've been doing pretty good so far and I've already lost 7 pounds. I still have about 30 to go until GW but I feel as though I need some friends. My husband is super supportive but he's not doing this with me. If there is anyone in the Portland area, especially NW, I'd love to have people to work out with, etc. I'd also love some online friends, just to help me stay motivated.
I've never lost weight like this before, so this is very different for me. I stayed pretty consistent for years, until I moved here and experienced all of the wonderful food and gained about 30 pounds in a year and a half. Needless to say, I'm looking at getting back to the weight that my body is happy, and I want to do it the healthy way. Feel free to add me and we can support and motivate each other

OMG, the same thing happened to me when I moved to Portland! The food here is amazing!!
Add me!! I'm definitely a local Portland chick. Maybe we could even meet up for walks or something active on the weekends once the weather gets nicer.0 -

I think some walks are definitely in order. Once the weather gets nicer, of course.0

I live in SW Portland. I am wanting to lose just under 35 more pounds. I love living in Portland. The food the culture the people. The rain keeps me from working out outside but I am doing Jillian Michael's workouts at lunch or at home on the rainy days. Super excited for spring and summer and doing more outside.
My hubby is also super supportive but is not doing this with me either. He loves eating healthy so that is wonderful, but also tells me I look great and I don't need to worry about my size to make him happy. Just worry about making myself happy.
I am absolutely up for weekend treks or workouts. There are so many wonderful places in the city and just outside of the city to explore. I did some hiking a couple of years ago and loved it.0 -
LOL Sounds very much like my husband. I usually end up going to the gym in my apartment complex. Or, since I'm a nanny, if the weather is nice while I'm at work, I'll grab the kid and go for a walk. I don't know many areas of the city but I'd be into hiking and finding awesome places to get outside and get some exercise.0
