I'm quite confused here.. I have an entry I've been using for 250g of Brown Rice, (cooked i'm guessing?)

The nutritional info is 278calories 57Carbs 2Fats 6Protein 5Fiber

But when I search for another type, same brand, it tells me 250g is equal to:

900 calories 175g carbs 11g fat and 27g protein...

Is this second option meant to be uncooked? or have I been eating a shirt load of rice (option 1) for the past year?

i think that is probably uncooked rice. i tend to weigh mine out before cooking and normally have around 60-75 g which is around 250 calories.

Search for brown rice, and you can specify if it's cooked or not. (If you're weighing out 250g you should know if you're weighing it cooked or raw.)

My guess is one of the entries was for cooked, and the other for raw. Cooked, 100g of brown rice has 111 calories. Raw, 100g of brown rice has 370 calories.

Some people measure raw, then cook. Six of one, half a dozen of another.
