Carbonated Water?

I recently decided to pick up one of these big bottles of Clear sparkling/carbonated water in the flavor Pineapple Coconut while grocery shopping at Walmart.
YUM! Wow, best thing I've tasted all week. It's got 0 calories, sugar, sodium...everything basically. And they were 60 cents per bottle!
My question is this: is there something about carbonated flavored water that might cause me to bloat or affect my weight loss in some way? I'm sure this is a stupid question, but I just want to make sure before I go out and buy a bunch. I'd probably only drink one 33 oz bottle per day and plain water the rest of the time, but it would be nice to drink something with a little fizz at dinner!

Water is water, but in all things flavored look out for preservatives that aren't natural. Also, based on a quick Google search Mayo Clinic says there's no proof one way or another but CO^2 may harm calcium being useful to your bones. No proof though and if it were noticably bad then there would have been proof enough by now. Sounds good to me! I drink liters of flavored water a day now
EDIt: If it's sweetened with aspartame, just be aware that it's not the best thing you could be consuming. (Sorry I got hyped up about it before this edit, I was raised to be paranoid of it in the 90s lol)0 -

EDIt: IF SWEETENED WITH ASPROTAME DON'T DRINK IT! It's paint remover used in some diet products as a sweetener and is really bad for you.
Ingredients: Filtered Carbonated Water, Citric Acid, Natural Flavor, Potassium Citrate, Potassium Benzoate (A Preservative), Aspartame, Acesulfame Potassium. Phenylketonurics: Contains Phenylalanine.

Sorry about that. This made be look at the crystal flavors I'm using in my own water, and guess what? Aspartame in my Crystal Light... Well I guess it's time for me to go back to lemon juice! Aspartame (according to fitday.com) can be part of the cause of cancer, diabetes, phych disorders, hinders weight loss, birth defectsvision problems, and seizures 0_0 Yup, back to lemon juice and Blue Agave for me... I'll miss you appletini flavor.0

I love fizzy water. I have a Soda Stream and make my own. I drink it plain or add a splash of lime juice or cranberry juice if I want a little flavor.
If you don't want to invest in one, then buy plain soda water and add your own flavor.0 -
There is no science to back up the claims that aspartame is dangerous. That doesn't mean it *isn't* dangerous, but that no correlation -- let alone causation -- with the disorders and diseases listed above has ever been found.
As far as carbonated water: There's nothing wrong with it. Better than soda; not better than plain water (but not necessarily worse, either).

I'm not as much worried about drinking it and it harming me as I am in the shear amounts I had started (uckily only today and yesterday) drinking it. I started drinking my daily needed water (2.3+ liters a day) flavored with mixes containing it, so if something bad were going to happen it would probably have happened to me after a few weeks of that level of consumption. It's obviously not so bad that the FDA/CDC banned it's used, obviously lol, so having it once in a while can't be that bad. Thanks for the link0

I love Polar Seltzer waters. I drink one liter a day - sometimes more.
The container says "Contains Carbonated water, natural flavors"0 -
I love that pineapple/coconut flavor! It's the best. But I do only drink it occasionally.0

I am a big fan I diet coke, carbonated water, crystal light, etc. I remember getting so fed up with people and their "aspartame gives you cancer" that I asked my doctor about it. In her words, I would need to an obscene amount of pure aspartame to have any form of negative effect. It is also important to remember the quantity of aspartame used. Everything that is used to sweeten has a sweetness "level" that comes back to 1 tsp of sucrose (regular sugar). Aspartame has a sweetness rating of 0.00001 (maybe one more zero). Which means that you only need 0.00001 teaspoons of aspartame to taste like sugar. Most sweetener have added filler so it looks like more, but products such and Sweet 'n' Low barely have anything in the packets and makes and note to say that is sweetens like 2 tsp of sugar.
And yes, some people have aspartames issues. But people have lactose issues and sorbitol issues, etc. These are intolerances, not because the product is inherently evil.
When it comes to food, if it tastes good and you feel good and you are seeing success, then go for it!0
