kettlebell workouts

I've been doing 30 min. kettlebell workouts for several days. But I'm having a hard time knowing how to log it since there is no kettlebell work out in the exercise options. Has anyone done kettlebell workouts and how did you log them?

great question! The exercise option is not the best on here! I would ask your trainer or wear a monitor that tells you how much you have burned. Under the Exercise option is an option that says "My exercise" you can create your own and it will take those calories that you put in into account. Hope that made sense!
  • I've just started with one, I found it on MFP under cardio, kettle bell, two words. It tells me 100 cals for 10 minutes.

I frequently do the Jillian Michaels Shred it with Weights DVD, and according to my heart rate monitor, I burn between 160 and 250 calories in 30 minutes, which I log in MFP as personal exercise. Your vital stats will play a major role for the calorie count, as well as the intensity of your performance and the weight of the kettlebells. On a good, hard day, my swings are more powerful, and the squats are lower, with intense muscle contractions, and it really makes the heart rate and the calorie count spike. I'm 5'5", 134 lbs.
