New Here, Ready to be a Loser

I dabbled on MFP briefly about a year ago, but ultimately chose to do Weight Watchers. I lost a bunch of weight there and had success, but after gaining a few pounds back, I felt I needed some new scenery, so here I am. I'm excited to see if a combo of MFP, Fitbit and the support here can help me get to my goals!

Welcome! Feel free to add me as a friend! I love the support and I do much better with others!
How do you like your fitbit?0 -
Absolutely love it. I used to have a Fitbit One and was religious about keeping up on my numbers and using it to motivate me. Then, at some point, it fell out of my pocket and I was without for about three months. Just today I decided that it was just too valuable to no longer have, so I went out and bought a Fitbit Flex. I figure if it's on my wrist at all times, it's much harder to lose.0

Do you know if they are water proof?0

They are! You can wear them in the shower and everything. Probably shouldn't go scuba diving with it on, but not having to take it off to shower or wash your hands is a big plus.0

Yes! That's awesome. Great for swimming laps too!
I've been considering something like that....0 -
Hey all,
I have packed up my old life and moved on to some new ventures this year. Left stress, unhealthy situations and unhealthy food behind. Invested in a membership at the YMCA, also I am charging my Jawbone UP bracelet.
I have Crohn's Disease (2006), so my diet has to change drastically because what I've been doing is not working for me. (BAD Food & cigarettes)
I know, I know the combinations are the worst. I have been doing this for a long, long time. Now it's time to break all bad habits.0 -
I think committing yourself to creating an account here and investing in a Jawbone is a huge step toward the right direction for you! I smoked for 11 years until I had a pretty alarming doctor's appointment concerning my bad habit and my weight. It turned me right around and I quit after trying so many times. Just two weeks ago I celebrated two years of being smoke-free and it stands as my greatest accomplishment toward creating a better life for myself. You can do this!0
