10kg Lost :)

Hi all,

This is my 10kg (22lb) weightloss photo. I was never huge to start with, but definitely carrying too much for my frame and I was very unhappy. I am very proud to hit the 10kg mark and I am stunned looking back at how much I let it all go.

I will just share one pic as I still have work to do. I am at 11kg lost now and am done save a few hundred grams. I will go into maintenance mode soon and I have a fair amount of toning work I wanted to do.

However wanted to share. FYI, I am 5'2". Staring weight was 64kg (141lbs) and this is at 54kg (119lbs)

I owe every gram to MFP. I was up and down for a year, but was only ever losing weight when actually logging my cals, exercising and being accountable. Could not have done it without this site.

Thanks! I kind of did my weightloss in 3 concerted bursts. So all up it took me a year but I possibly could have done it faster if I were consistent.

The first 5 kg was really quick to come off - took about two months.
After that I went to something called Outward Bound - basically 3 weeks of outdoor living and adventuring - and lost another 2kg in that three weeks.
Then for about 8 months I just fluctuated at about 3kg over my goal until about 2 months ago when I really decided to pull finger.

I have been on a 1200 cal plan but doing quite a lot of exercise. I have been eating back most of my exercise calories but not all of them.

My efforts have really focused on cardio, as during the weightloss time I have run 3 half marathons. Now we are coming into winter in New Zealand I am going to get back to the gym and try to do the toning work I want to do.
