Has anyone had any experience working with them? I signed up with them in Mid February and was told that the upfront costs were about $800 which included a month of one of their supplements, along with some freebies (products, diary, guide). then after 4 weeks, I was told they were adding another product on to my $394 a month supplement (on top of the $880 I just paid for one years service), and I was like ok, can you let me know when you do that, because I signed up for the $394 a month (and I only want to do that for 2 months). She said okay... I get a call yesterday that said she was refunding me for the CLA the additional product she added, and then adding another product, some protein stuff, which when I checked my credit card, was $542 a month. I was like what!???!!!I left a voice message with the woman and said absolutely not, I would not be agreeing to that charge. I had to talk to my credit co to intervene. Has anyone else had this experience with Herbal Magic and how did they deal with them> There contract doesn't appear to give you any option out.... anyone with experiences they can share?

I don't know anything about Herbal Magic but what was it about the product that made you decide to try that option as opposed to MFP?0

Good luck:flowerforyou:0 -
Anyone who asks for you to pay $800 "up front" should be treated with extreme suspicion.0
-
Never trust anyone trying to sell you something when it comes to weightloss.0
-
Seriously you paid that much money?0

I'm just trying to wrap my mind around you willingly paying $394, a month, for a weight loss supplement, on top of $880. You've been a member here since 2012, don't you know by now you don't need the gimmicks?0

I signed up for the coaching not necessarily for the supplements. Thanks for those positive comments and contribution to this thread. I used mfp app and never came online, now I know why.0

Sens them an email/letter/fax that you will stop any and all services with them. Also tell them to refund every single penny or you will have to to sue. Then call your credit card company and try to get all those charges back for fraudulent action.0

Call your credit card company and stop authorization. Supplements aren't the cause of weight loss. Calorie deficit is and there currently aren't supplements on the market that "burn" off 500 calories a day.
^This.
Don't fall for gimmicks. You can lose weight for free.0 -
The supplements, essience weight loss, essience chromatic and essience... Something else, can't remember the last. They don't say that it will cause them to lose weight. They say sticking to their foods will help them lose weight. All about portions, and eating more food, and less carbs than you are used to, mixed with constant coaching and supplements. Truthfully, the food program is great, the supplements suck, you don't even need the supplements to lose. They are really just appetite suppressants. I was on program myself, and I lost a fair amount of weight, and kept everything but five lbs off, but it just wasn't worth the cost or the outshines. Thankfully, they never got my credit card. And I was a student when I signed up. I really love MFP a lot more. But I have seen it really work for some people. It's not for everyone, and. I wish people didn't overload themselves with the dumb product they shove down your throats, but I really loved their portion plans, their journals, and their daily coaching. S'all I have to say.0

I like how an 800 dollar cost that turned into 880 did not piss you off or alert you. But then neither did the 394 a month. but then suddenly the 542 was like "oh no you dit ent!"
I think you should wear her down with leaving voice messages. Just beat her down with them. That'll show her!0 -

This.
Actually I just never trust anyone trying to sell me anything.0 -
You are on a free site that provides all kinds of good information in regards to weight loss. Herbal Magic advises clients to eat a healthy well balanced diet with no processed foods along with their supplements and products.
Hmmm...a healthy well balanced diet with no processed foods, I can do that for free. :ohwell:0 -
Herbal magic is awesome! But it usually has a side effect of 2am visits to taco bell....0

So instead of using a free site to learn how to lose weight in a healthy way, you would rather pay hundreds of dollars per month to have someone tell you that eating a healthy well balanced diet and limiting processed foods will be a good way to lose weight. Plus you get to spend all kinds of money on their products. Good luck OP. :ohwell:0 -
I'm sorry you where scammed. I'm not familiar with this company, but I can tell you that you don't need magic pills to lose weight! I'm not mocking you, but please just think about using mfp instead. Eat at a deficit and you'll lose weight. All the tools you need, are right here!! There's no quick fix to weight loss and it takes hard work and dedication. But there's no easy way out. You have to work for it!!!0

Yes stay on MFP where the getting is good and it's free. Only we are NOT going to blow smoke up your wahoo to get you to spend 800 or 880 dollars or 542. We are going to speak this horrible terrible thing called truth and when you come on here telling us someone scammed you we are going to agree with you and call it a scam and tell you 1) where you went wrong 2) what to do next to resolve that problem and 3) how to resolve your original problem. You have gotten all those answers in this thread. Your good for now. Take some time to punch some pillows and find the real object of your anger, that b!tch who scammed you and come back when you are ready. We will be eager to help with truth and motivation and the lols. You will come to love it. I promise.0 -
I fully endorse herbal magic... I use chives, rosemary, parsley, thyme and many more in nearly all my meals!0

I don't understand why you would sign up for this, OP. I'm not trying to be mean, god knows I've fallen for dumb stuff in my life, but I am honestly curious- what part of this seemed legitimate to you?
I'm glad you posted, though, hopefully this will save someone else from making the same mistake.0 -

If you need coaching- we are RIGHT HERE! A whole community of people who can help you. Don't flounce- admit you made a mistake, commiserate with us, and get real advice, real support, and a real plan for your weight loss.0 -

Because you might have been saved from spending over a $1000 on something you didn't need? Or that you might have learned of their credit card issues before having some of your own?0 -
You were willing to pay 800 dollars up front and then 400 a month for something that...
A. Does not work, because supplements have no real effect on weight loss as well as negative effects on your health.
B. You could get for free on MFP.
That makes me sad.0 -
I get my herbal magic from a guy in oakland. Dispensaries really are outrageous. Good luck OP!0
