People with Fitbit & HRMs

Hello,

I've been using a fitbit for a year now but want to have an HRM again as I am training for a half marathon. What I wanted to know was if you wore your fitbit and HRM together so you keep your step count?

    Yes I do... I use HRM for accurate calorie burn during exercise as it's way more accurate than Fitbit (I find this the case) but then I let Fitbit take care of everything else for the rest of the day as wearing HRM the whole time would be a pain! Fitbit also tracks more accurately through MFP how many calories I have left :)

    Thanks. I used to have an HRM and it's great for training. Love my fitbit too. Just to clarify, you do wear them at the same time for running?? :smile:

    Yes, I have the same question, because I'm thinking of getting a fitbit -- but do you take off the fitbit during exercise and switch to the HRM? Do you wear both?

    I have a fitbit Flex and you wear it everywhere. It's water proof up to 10m and very easy to clean sweat off. You also wear it when you sleep.

    I wear my FitBit 24/7, but I also wear my HRM in conjunction with the FitBit when I'm working out (even when doing weights - it's good for timing my workout and for checking my heart rate during rests).
