    Stop starving yourself.

No one here can give you advice if you refuse to fuel your body.

I'm with her you have to fuel your body other wise your body is going to keep what ever you are giving it. That is why you are gaining, everyone I have ever talked to says you should never never go under 1200 cals!!!

You've lost 10 lbs and just started with only 70 to lose? You joined this month. That's over 2 lb a week average. That's crazy fast. I'm assuming the weight gain is water retention from exercise or just about anything. Weight fluctuates as much as 5 lbs + in a single day. You're worrying too much. I would eat at least 1200. At LEAST. Here's why: Long term, starving yourself will result in weight loss but it will also result in muscle loss, which is what makes you look lean. You lose muscle, you get what's called skinny fat. You also run the risk of damaging organs, those are muscles too. Slow down. Realize this has to be long term. Sustain and fuel your body. I'm 5'3.5" and lost on 1700 NET.

I know you mentioned in another post you were seeing a personal trainer who advised you to eat more avocado - this is likely because you need more calories. Maybe you should speak to that person again about what your needs and goals are. Anything beyond the healthy norm of weight loss cannot be solved here on MFP. We cannot give you advice on an unhealthy diet. It's against the rules, but more importantly, it's unethical.

Perhaps you should be seeing a specialist. A nutritionist could really help you, or a counselor...

If you knew it was a lifestyle, you wouldn't be peddling junk

You aren't allowed to peddle personal products, or advertise anything for your own gain on this website.
It's really low to prey on someone like that with your products, who is obviously going through a difficult time right now.

The weight gain is probably extra water and you are probably gaining muscle which is heavier than fat... I'm on a plateau too. It's just a part of losing weight. You'll get through it if you keep eating healthy (at your calorie goal) and exercising. Don't get discouraged we all go through this. I've been stalled for a couple weeks but I'm continuing eating healthy. You're probably losing inches....:-).

No such thing as a plateau. There is no imaginary wall blocking your progress. Plateau is just a word which people use when they think they are 'doing everything right', except that they arent because if they were they would lose weight.

If you arent losing weight, you arent eating at a calorie deficit.

    Howdy,

Plateaus shouldn't last longer than 3 weeks, give or take. Sounds like your progress has been good. Remember, though, that plateaus are good because...

    1) They can signal the end of mere "water weight" loss and the beginning of real fat loss.

    2) They are tell-tale signs as to whether or not what you are doing will keep working (again, if they last around a month of longer, then some changes have to be made).

    3) They are friends in disguise because once you cross the threshold of a plateau, it means your body has now gotten comfortable with your new level and wants to try and keep you there.

Please give more details with how you are trying to lose.

I'm a one-meal-a-day-er, and as such, plateaus were very short, but my longest was from 326 to 313 lbs. Lasted all of 3 weeks. Then the lbs kept coming off again. And keep in mind that most people don't stay on life-change plans for long enough to beat hurdles like this, so don't freak out yet.
