I have always had thick?fat? lol thighs.
What exercises help you?
I run, I do squats (with weights as well), lunges, burpees. I have gained 1inch in my thighs since last month I presume from muscle?

You can't spot reduce. As you lose weight, your thighs will get smaller. Be sure to take photos & measurements to gauge your progress.

For many women thighs/hips are the last to go. The inch you gained is prob not muscle, unless you are eating at a cal surpluses, but extra water in the muscle to help facilitate muscle repair.
There is no way to spot reduce w/o surgery. Give it time and you will get there.0 -
Thank you both for encouragement I've lost 60lbs last year and still my thighs did not lose but an inch. I'll continue on ty.0

Learn to love 'em!! I have very muscular thighs (no thigh gap for this athlete) and I've come to embrace that part of my body. Keep working to swap out fat for long, lean muscle through running, squats, lunges, etc and learn to love the thunder thighs!0

Also to the one who posted a LINK I do all that. I actually measure all of my food even my liquids0 -
It's not just women, I too am thicker on the bottom. I have small wrists and large ankles. I agree that you can't spot reduce but you can spot tone. I am in the same struggle to lose the last tenacious pounds that cling to my upper thighs and butt like rats on a sinking ship. I think it's just a hard slog to gnaw away on that lard until you get there. Just keep this in mind, there is nothing sexier on a woman than well toned legs and rear. If they are a bit bigger but well-formed you will have succeeded in my opinion.:blushing:0

You can not "spot tone" because there is no such thing as "toning" to begin with.0

Thighs are sexy.
I hope regardless of how much weight I lose or how much muscle I build that I always have a butt. And thighs.0 -
A fitness guru friend told me deadlifts plus all the others you mentioned. ...I too have always had thick chunky thighs. ...they prevent me from wearing shorts and bikinis more than my stretch marks do.0

Semantics. Call it conditioning then. If all you did was work your biceps you would be "spot conditioning" on your biceps (unless you think your gluts benefit from arm curls).0 -
I never said toning. I should rephrase my question though. What other exercises besides those i'm doing would help me achieve not as big of thighs as I have. I'm not looking for a thigh gap here.0

As you lose weight, various parts of your body will get smaller. Which parts (& in which order ) is pretty much up to genetics. So keep eating at a deficit.0
