Running Shoes

I will be doing my first mud run in 6 months and I need recommendations for reasonably priced running shoes. Not looking for something a fulltime runner might need, just enough to last thru training and the mud run in Sept. Not normally a runner...I'm a sport climber. I'm shooting for the $50 range.

Every person needs a different shoe. Without watching you run, no one can recommend what will work best for you.
I got a new pair of running shoes last Friday from my local running store, after a several year hiatus from running. They watched me walk and run, and then gave me 6 different shoes to try on and run with on a treadmill. In the past I've always gotten mizunos, but this time ended up with nike, which I never would have picked out on my own. Luckily, it was also last year's model, so it was 30% off - $70, which is a steal.
If you're going to be running quite a bit, do yourself (and your feet) a favor and get properly fitted.0 -
Something that is lightweight and will drain/dry easily would probably be good. I like the New Balance Minimus line. One of the trail shoes or running shoes would probably work for you. I wore a Minimus trail shoe at Hard Charge last year and it worked pretty well. You can find them for a decent price on discount sites if you do an internet search.0
