Anyone else have to eat a low Vit K diet??

I am on Coumadin and have to eat consistent levels of K day to day. In the hospital, I had no appetite so just continued on a minimal K diet after discharge. We have been struggling to keep my INR therapeutic so I am really motivated to maintain the consistency.
Would love to find a few others dealing with the same issue...

I am not on Coumadin, but I've had to maintain a low Vit K diet for most of my life. I have an enzyme deficiency that requires it. I LOVE green vegetables and eat them on and off in order not to have problems. I try to stick to cabbage, asparagus, broccoli and romaine--one serving of each has about the daily required K without going ridiculously over--like collards, kale and spinach.
Wikipedia (I know, I know!) has a great vitamin K article and lists the green vegetables along with the number of micrograms of Vit K.

I've been on Coumadin for three years and I have had some of the same problems keeping my INR where the doctors want it to be. Before my problems, I ate lots and lots of food with vitamin K so it has been a big struggle trying to change my diet. In the hospital I definitely didn't have an appetite at all. They struggled trying to get me to eat the right foods. I know what it's like.0

I am like you. I love big salads with dark leafy greens and loads of different veggies. This has definitely been an adjustment. Best of luck to you!
