I work in a special needs school, I'm on my feet most of the day, I also do a 15 min walk to and home from work, I used my runtastic pedometer today and I walked 17000 steps and it said I cloked up 993 calories!! Not sure that is right??? Should I eat some of these calories back???
I have made sure the steps are right and they are.
I have made sure the steps are right and they are.

Well they say 10,000 steps a day burns 500 calories... maybe add back a 3rd, and just keep an eye on your progress and adjust from there?0 -
Agreed. If you have your setting correct (ie-active lifestyle) then no, this is your normal day. Exercise is anything above and behond your normal daily activity.0
