I came to this site because I heard it was a really good way to count my carbs. But today all I see is POTATO everywhere?
I came to this site looking for some support for my new low carb lifestyle change and instead I am being ASSAULTED by potatoes, which everyone knows are not only full of carbs but they are the second worst KIND of carb because they basically turn into sugar immediately in your system.
I have a sugar and carb addiction and I cannot lose weight if I am constantly thinking about potatoes!
Then change your thoughts! LOL Potatoes WILL NOT kill you. OMG................LMAO

I'm not going to go into full-on nerd rage because people are posting potatoes. I will say this though, I came here because I'm diabetic. Even small portions of potatoes spike my blood sugar badly. This person may be in the same boat. To say low carbs is bad really doesn't help because I can't eat any other way or I will die. So yeah, there's that. That being said. POTATO!!!
Have you tried only 25g potato, 10g butter, and 30g protein? Most diabetics need protein and fats with their carbs to prevent spikes.0 -

This is the best April Fool's thread EVER. Epic.
That being said, I am on a "limited carb" diet, and my doctor says I could still have one small potato a day if I want it. And some days I do. I agree with the baked potatoes with salsa on them. When I lost 60 pounds a few years ago, I would often get those at Wendy's for lunch.
And remember, carbs only turn into sugar and then fat if you don't burn them off!0 -
