Eating all my calories at once?

Hi! I read this article today, because I often find that I eat around one time or so before I eat a HUGE meal. After this meal, I generally am full for the rest of the day and then I don't have to worry about food. For instance, today, I ate 1400 calories within one meal. Before that, I had eaten about 900 calories. At this point in the day, I am over my calorie allotment by almost 600. However, I am not worried because I still have a workout to complete, etc.
BUT… I was reading online about eating the majority of calories in my meal and this is what it says….
Eating Nothing and Then Overeating Causes Problems — Even If You’re In a Calorie Deficit
Because your body can only handle so much energy in one sitting (just like you can’t overfill your gas tank for 1,000 mile trip) hardly eating anything all day and then eating most of your calories in one sitting can cause problems:
***Your blood sugar levels fluctuate instead of holding steady, which can result in a loss of lean body mass. In other words, it’s not fat that’s being lost but potentially muscle. And we don’t want to lose muscle. Lowering your lean body mass means your body burns less calories. Not good.
***Eating when your blood sugar is low (because you’ve hardly eaten anything all day) causes you to release more insulin — which means more fat is produced.

That is the website! Am I hurting myself by eating the majority of my calories in one meal?
Thanks!

i know a lot of people who only eat one meal a day. I personally couldn't do it, I have to eat regularly or I feel awful. If it works for you, and you still have energy for the day, go for it! If you feel hungry and tired all the time, maybe it's just not right for you. Experiment with it if you're interested.0

You're doing a daily intermittent fast, which is actually healthy and has many benefits.

Suppversity.com also has a great series on IF.0 -
I eat every two hours or so. Small and healthy. I think I would probably throw up if I ate all or most of my calories in one sitting.0

If you do this daily, around the same time, you are almost doing the 24 hour fasting style, which in itself isnt too bad.0 -
I spread my calories throughout the day because it works better for me that way. For example, I focus better at work when I eat a little breakfast.
Whatever you decide just make sure you do enough research and check with your doctor to make sure you understand any long term affects.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions! Some days I eat all my calories within a four hour period, and other days it is spread across 18 hours. It just depends! I hope this is okay!?0
