Zombies, Run! App

Any other fellow Runner 5s out there? Since it is spring and I can run outdoors again, I am picking up and just about to finish season one! I can't wait to start season two!

Yay! I am glad you're doing it, too. The story really gets you. There was one that I was actually emotionally shaken by. One that nearly made me cry... WOAH.

I have that app but I never really got started because I can't run. I am doing the C25K and will use the zombie one once I've completed the C25K.

I'm also Runner 5. Though I'm doing the C25K training, which is still a good story but doesn't have all the fun missions that the regular app has. If i survive the C25K without being caught and eaten by a zombie then I look forward to moving on to the regular app!

This app sounds cool; I want to play!

When I get tired while running, I always imagine someone chasing me. So this is perfect!

Really wanted to try this app...but it's not compatible with windows 8 phone :(
  • I'm nowhere near fit enough to use the app to actually run, I just use it on the elliptical. But I love it! It has really gotten me motivated to get MOVING, haha!

I know what you mean! It's amazing how involved you get in the story. I've done some zombie runs at 5 am in the dark and rain...its an experience!

I have it for my Android and the only thing I hate is that I can't get it to play a playlist of songs. Stupid phone.

You can use a couple of other players - I recommend Winamp - it syncs with my playlists and now I can have zombie run music. :)

Me!! Just finished the last episode of Season 1 today....can't wait to start Season 2 tomorrow! I'm also super interested in trying AirDrop mode once it's nice enough here to get off the treadmill and running outside again.

Sounds interesting. I'm starting now. How long do you need for a run?

I usually use Runkeeper but I decided to try the Zombies, Run! app yesterday and today. Although the story was fun and had my husband laughing ( especially when I yelled out "woohoo I've got a baseball bat and pants!") it didn't keep track of miles.
Is there a way to get it to keep track of miles like Runkeeper does?

Create a playlist in your phnoe's music player and it should list it - I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 and that works for me.

I love this app! I run more because I want to know what happens next. Oh, and I feel like a hero. I feel like I save the world everyday before work, makes me happy.

Make sure you check the box to have your GPS enabled - I'm assuming that's how it keeps track of distance.

I just downloaded the smaller version of this. The 5k one? I have never been a runner, but the past few weeks I have really wanted to try it out. I thought having this app might help. It starts you out slow, for beginners I guess.

Another Runner 5 here! Ok, more like a Quick-walking 5, but working on it :) I LOVE this app, probably a little too much. Ahhhh Able... Sam... everyone...It's just so great <3

Also, the GPS only works with something that has internal GPS (sounds silly to mention). My iPod does not have a GPS, so it couldn't track my distance. Once I switched to using the app on my phone, this was resolved.
