How much do you drink in a day, and has it helped with weight loss?

it varies, but usually at least 12 cups. That is all I drink though.0

Thank you! Were you ever addicted to pop?0

I drink when I am thirsty, chewing gum (I like to make bubbles with water and bite it to squish the water out) and when I have a yummy Crystal light liquid thing. About 75% of a gallon everyday.0

I drink about 8-10 cups a day. I drink unsweet tea with lemon and water mostly. I gave up soda last August and now they taste horrible to me. I try to only drink beverages with no salt or caffeine.0

I drink about 64 oz of water a day at least, more if I'm running or it's hot out. I also have a diet soda or two depending on if I need the caffeine (I don't drink coffee, and yeah, i know it's bad for me blah blah blah whatever).0

They say lemon water is excellent for weight loss, any truth to that?0

I drink between 10-12 cups of water per day (in addition to any tea or soda(soda has sodium in it so i don't count it) I rarely drink anything besides water and tea and the odd double espresso
The main benefit i see is keeping my body from retaining water (due to a high sodium day for instance) and adding false weight (If you haven't been drinking a larger quantity of water and then begin doing so you'll notice some pretty big losses the first week or 2
I think the main benefit of lemon in the water is making it easier for people to drink0 -
I drink between 10-14 cups/day and one glass of milk on my cereal at breakfast.
Yes I do think it has helped with my loss and maintenance of my goal. More than that, the benefits to the rest of your body are amazing. My knees ache less (and I am sure the weight loss helped too) but my overall energy level and feeling of well-being is elevated too.
I was never hooked on soft drinks but would have a few each month. I don't avoid them now but if water is a choice, that's the one I choose. Best of luck with your getting more fit, you can do it! MFP is full of one success story after another.0 -
Water is the best...drink as much of it as you can! I try to drink about 10-16 glasses per day...I'm hoping with warmer weather coming soon that I can drink more0

I drink between 14-20 cups of water a day. It makes a huge difference0

I don't know about weight loss, but I do know too much is horrible for your teeth.
I'm *trying* to drink 128 ounces a day, so 16 cups? Its very hard, but is good, helps me feel full. And a bit sloshy0 -
I don't log my water. It's too hard to keep track of! I have been drinking a lot of water. It makes my skin better and I feel better not being dehydrated. I love the liquid water additives! They really help. I can have different flavors all without calories. You can find them with the powdered drink mixes. I like them better than the powder because they dissolve faster and they are just easier. Plus you can carry them with you pretty easy!0

I try to, but I often forget to log my water...I usually have 6 - 8 glasses a day...not counting the water I drink during workouts...0

I drink 3-4 litres of water a day.
As to the second part has it helped with weight loss, it helps but very little.
What helps with weight loss is calories in vs calories out. Eat at a deficit and you will lose weight.
Water just helps keep me under my calorie goal, vs. soda and juices.
I flavour mine with what ever fruit I have in the house, atm pineapple water, so tasty.0 -

The days where I have less I can totally feel it and it's a nasty sluggish feeling!0 -
I drink 10-12 cups a day on average (that's just water, technically I get more fluids with coffee, tea, etc).
Lemon water will not help you lose weight. That's an old wive's tale.
Losing weight is about eating at a calorie deficit. There are no tricks, only that.0
