"you have a pretty face but..." 70lbs to go

Hi everyone
i'm not sure what brought me here. Maybe it was because of the "oh a pretty face..never mind...she's fat" looks i get from people wherever i go. Or the stares i get in the clothing store when i go into the size 12 section looking for inspiration. I eventually want to be a size 4 give or take but going down that aisle just overwhelms me and makes the task impossible for me to visualize. So i've found that setting small goals works better for me. I'm currently a size 16, 14 is a little tight on me. Oh and i must add i've already lost 29lbs so far since my original starting point sometime late last yr. When i first started it was easier to lose weight as i just cut back on my calorie intake and also my church group went on a fast. I weigh myself every single day and keep track of that. I know the experts say to only do it weekly but this way works better for me. If i binge or go off track it immediately shows up and thats just what i need to get back on track. The upside of me weighing daily is that although i may gain weight sometimes i notice that my clothes fit looser, body looks smaller. I notice my composition shifting and that helps motivate me. I need to see that slow progress coz i dont have much staying power. I've spent thousands on gym memberships, personal trainers, crazy diets even pills. i quit on those. I want to keep going but need more motivation as i have hit my first plateau.

Hi my name is Tom and I know exactly how you feel! When i first started trying to lose the weight I felt like just getting started was a plateau, but with the motivation I have from the MyFitnessPal community and the accountability of those around me and of the groups I'm apart of on Facebook, It makes it so much easier for me to get out there and do what I need to do to lose the weight and stay in shape! I currently weigh 200 lbs and the Army wants me to be somewhere around 160 so i have a ways to go! Lets work on this together and I'm sure me and you can help and motivate each other to get to where we need to be!0
