Losing inches but no weight after almost 3 months

It's been about 3 months since i joined a gym. Before that i was doing at home workouts.
When i joined the gym i gained for a couple weeks im guessing its from new exercise.
But i have been stuck at the same weight for 2 and a half months but i am losing inches because my jeans and shirts are getting too big.
When will i expect to see a drop on the scale.
I run 3 times a week and lift 3-4 times a week.

You shouldn't be so focused on what the scale says. You could very well be building muscle and that's why the scale won't budge. Do yourself a favor and take your measurements. That way you can be sure that you're slimming down and leaning out. See if you can get yourself some calipers and measure your body fat percentage too.

I never understand questions like this. You want to be smaller correct? decreasing inches = success. Don't focus on what the scale says.0

Losing inches but not weight is a good thing. Give it time, this is progress.0

Yes sorry, im eating 1700 calories a day since i workout 5-6 days a week. i weigh everything.0 -
Weight is possibly the most useless indicator of health you can track. You aren't losing weight because you are gaining muscle and losing fat simultaneously. That's a GOOD thing.
You should be tracking your body fat percentage, not your weight. Ask any professional trainer or athlete and they will tell you the same thing. There are several ways that this can be measured, with varying degrees of accuracy and cost:

I don't know if there's any science behind it but my observation is lifting heavy could "interfere" with scale number.0

So what if you never lose weight???!!!!! So if you are strong and fit and feel great and look fabulous, why do you care what the scale says? I'd say if your clothes are sagging and you feel great that you have having glorious success. If you are 60 lbs overweight, then there will come a time that the scale will come down--but perhaps if you were only 20 lbs overweight you might just--if you REALLY put in the effort--you might just cease to be overweight without ever moving that scale. Now THAT would be success way above "losing weight".0
