That's it really, I end up starving after lifting and last night I binged quite spectacularly on crap so I need a contingency plan but don't know what I should be consuming, I'm guessing protein? What kind of thing do you guys have? A shake? Or in a different form.
Thanks
Thanks

I usually have either milk or chocolate milk with protein powder added to it or some chicken after a workout. Protein is your best choice as it will keep you full longer as well as feed those muscles you just worked so hard. Best of luck to you0

I usually load up on food the day of lifting and the day after for recovery. Mostly protein and carbs. How much will depend on if your trying to lose, maintain, or gain weight. Typically a protein shake is an easy way to help this. If I'm still feeling hungry towards the end of the day, that's when the ice cream comes out!0

I usually lift before my evening meal so I'll have something like steamed fish and a pile of veggies soon after lifting. I also ensure I've had protein and carbs within a couple of hours before lifting.
Protein shakes, Greek yoghurt, milk, cottage cheese, etc might be handy go-to snacks if you're out and about.0 -
Egg or tuna sandwich :happy:0

I usually eat half a greek yoghurt mixed with berries, a tea spoon of honey and some cereals together with a protein bar.0

I am sooooo hungry after doing any work out. Cardio/Classes/Weights etc!!!
I feel like I am eating so much more rubbish than I did before.
Yes protein is the answer, but my body is craving 'SUGAR' not chicken, eggs, protein shakes, nuts, greek yoghurt, protein bars etc0 -
Normally i take a banana or boiled egg to the gym. After a heavy session i need something to get me home and past the cake shops. As I tend to work out in the mornings - lunch is fish based with plenty of veg. I have not tried the protein drinks etc but would like to try a smoothie at some point.0

I have a shake immediately after my workout then I have a meal about an hour after i've finished gym0
