Hey ppl
So, I sort of get a little hungry or peckish at night. I dont know what it is, i eat well. Sometimes i think i confuse it for thirst so i drink some water. Most of the time i am able to go to sleep, but sometimes I end up so hungry that I get my self a small bowl of cereal or greek yoghurt. I know were not suppose to eat before bed but what are some healthy options that I could snack on before going to bed?
My typical dinner would be something like mackerel, greens and sweet potato mashed. Typical day, breakfast would be oats, id have a sald for lunch, ad inbetweens would be fruit smoothie with almond milk, and nuts.
Thanks

Eat whatever fits into your calorie goal. If your diet is typically well balanced, a treat isn't bad. Eating before bed is only bad if it makes you get a stomach ache. I eat a pretty decent nighttime snack right before bed almost every day0

Some people experience heart burn or problems sleeping if they eat before bed. If you're not one of those people then it's fine to eat right up until you go to sleep.
If I have the calories left, I usually have some ice cream late at night. Otherwise, I'll reach for string cheese, an apple, or a hard boiled egg. Maybe a fudge bar if I'm looking for something sweet.0 -

As long as you're under/at your goal, it shouldn't really matter when you eat (unless eating late gives you digestion troubles, etc.). That said, I enjoy:
100-cal popcorn snacks
Tea
Thinly-sliced apple
Nonfat greek yogurt with Fiber One cereal
Pistachios
Veggies with hummus0 -

I agree. If you know you will want a snack every night, then just make sure you save enough calories for it.0 -
i like to squirt some hersheys syrup on a banana. last night when hubby got home from work, and i had already ad my ice cream for the night, smelling his dinner got me hungry, so i had some peaches. kept me from picking off his plate LOL (or MAKING my own plate, which is what i would have done before mfp)0

Popcorn! If you use an air popper it is easy to make as little or as much to fit in your calories for the day.
I am a night time snacker too and what I did was to save my exercise calories for evening snacks. It would usually give me 400-500 calories to work with.0 -
Much on raw veggies
Low in calories and you can eat quite an amount and feel full0 -
I like instant pudding made with lowfat milk. It's very comforting.0
