DIET!!!

As the tittle says, Diet!
Well, I've been wondering what diets others do? preferably a 1400-1500 calorie diet. I have been on a diet I made myself however, I have lost about 5 pounds since starting in the last week of February. Oh yes I have been on the 30 day shred since march 5th, skipped a few days here and there at day 17 of 30 today. Any tips? thanks :)
This is what I have been doing
cheerio's cereal with milk in the morning
grapes and a granola bar for snack
toast w/egg or sometimes jam/buttter for lunch
boiled egg for snack
tortilla with lettuce, chicken, cucumber, and a tiny bit of sauce for dinner
watermelon for dinner

You honestly do this every single day?

I do the MFP diet…. although its not really a diet, its been a lifestyle change. I eat what I want, but maintain my deficit (I also eat back most of my exercise calories, heheh). Portion control is key, and so is the revelation that the better you eat….the MORE you can eat. That being said, I eat chocolate EVERY day and have still lost 25lbs and have toned up a lot!

I decided I wanted this weight to stay off, so a diet wasn't long term enough! Now that I am getting closer to my weight goal and want to focus on toning I have been watching my macros…but don't stress about that until you grasp the basics!

    This guy says it best:

    Loving my sexypants :blushing:

It is not a diet. Diets have start and stop dates and many regain as soon as they return to their prior habits. I am making a lifestyle change for better health because I MUST. That said, I eat reduced ( not zero) carbs due to diabetes. Due to that, I'm eating a lot fewer calories than I used to I'm certain.

I follow MFPs guides, but have my macros reset to the right carb level for me, and exercise 5-6 days a week. There really isn't any secret to it.
  • ok thanks guys! yes I feel that the defict is what matters most. Even I had a couple of cheat days every know and then. However, I only ate within my caloric intake. However, I guess since it is a lifestyles change like Sharon said, even the 5 pounds I lost is a great start, I decided to look at those 5 pounds as a big achievement itself and will continue to do so, I may change up my eating plan a bit though haha :P none likes to eat the same things all the time anyway (atleast i don't ;D). Thanks for the advice guys.
