Are those 100 calorie English muffins good to eat? I have been eating one in the morning toasted with some peanut butter but I was reading a magazine that said to add 100 calorie hersheys pretzel bar and subtract the 100 calorie english muffin so it got me thinking.

Use Natrual Peant butter. your better off eating 2 slices or Ezekiel Bread with the PB.
  • Will have to try natural peanut butter never tried it before I have tried Ezekiel bread was not a big fan but will try it again.

I started buying Smucker's Natural Creamy. Fat content is the same but it's all peanuts. I really like it. (I can't believe I hated the stuff as a kid).

I eat Healthy Life Lite english muffins. They are only 90 calories with 6 grams of fiber, and I like them much better then the Thomas english muffins.
  • I use organic almond butter. It's sooo delicous

I don't think substituting a candy bar (is that what it is?) for an English muffin is a good idea.

In terms of peanut butter, try and go for an unsalted natural peanut butter...Trader Joe's has some good almond/sunflower/peanut butters. I love Teddie's peanut butter, but I believe it's only distributed in New England.

I most use the weight watchers multigrain or whole wheat bread as it is the only one that I will allow myself the luxury of getting to have 2 slices!

We usually buy the Kraft Natural peanut butter, or the Adams brand . . . the only ingredient in both is "peanuts" . . . you just have to stir it when you open it, then at each use as it does seperate.

"Normal" peanut butter is full of sugar and hydroginated oil, the oil is what keeps it from seperating like the natural stuff. We actually find it horribly sweet now and prefer the natural brands.
  • You can get them at Kroger's.
