Sounds like I am introducing myself to an AA meeting, Hi my name is Dave and I am a foodie. I am 49 and weigh in at a very unimpressive 17'2. I have been a bus driver for the best part of the past 15 years so exercise hasn't been right up there. I have only twice before been successful with diets, once on Lighter Life where I managed to lose several stone but couldn't afford to carry on and then the first time I tackled Slimming World where again I managed to lose weight easily. The recurring theme here though is a failure to understand that it's going to be a lifestyle change therefore I end up putting it all back on again. I love food and am not ashamed to admit it, hell the evidence is there for all to see but I really do want to succeed in time for my 50th next January. So I am going to try doing 5.2 and see where that takes me. Thanks for listening

    Hi,

I started 5-2 and it works for me. However I do only have 1200 calories on a Tuesday and Thursday and normally eat what I want on a weekend but put a lot of time in at the gym, mainly spin because it burns a lot of calories.

Its my 50th in May and I have 5 weeks to get rid of the next half a stone and I will be happy.

Good luck but with all the support it should be easy :)

  • Maybe I should try and get some gym time in but with my working day as 12 and a half hours I am pretty pooped when I crawl indoors
  • Lost 4 lb in my first week which I am really pleased with especially as I started on a monday. Will now weigh myself every saturday
