Maybe this time will stick

Hello!

I have been a long time logger of MyFitnessPal, but I have difficulty sticking to eating well and exercising. I will usually last about 5-7 days, and then I fall off the wagon. It usually then takes me about a week or 2 to get back into it, and then the cycle repeats itself over and over again.

Throughout this, I have watched my weight go up rather than down in this app. When I started I weighed about 230, and now I have gone above 250 (which is a number I never hoped to see!!).

I am now worried that this cycle will continue and eventually I will see that ominous 300 mark!

One change I want to implement is to use the forums more often, so here I am.

Well welcome back... one thing that helps keeping me here every day and keeping me motivated is taking a look in the "success stories" forum every day. Seeing people that have just as much or more weight to lose than me that did it and reached their goals is really helpful to keep me going. Just think "why not me?" You just need to make logging and exercise a habit... a requirement... not something that you can choose not to do. Another thing I notice of why people stop is they think they have to starve to lose weight.... but you don't! make sure you do your TDEE and BMR calculations and use that as a guide for your goals instead of sticking to the dreaded "1200 calorie" group that MFP throws everyone in. Good luck and feel free to add me!

I have now logged my food for 4 days in a row (I know its not much, but its a start). My aim is to log my food no matter what I eat!
