But this week,on Wednesday i went on a little vacation and couldnt work out ad didnt ate so good... i feel like i've ruined everything.I need a little motivation even though i know that i need to keep going no matter what.
Have you guys felt like this?

I think this happens to all of us. The important thing is to get back on track right away...like today. Don't do what I have done. I blow it for a day...eat way too much. Then I get so disappointed with myself that I overeat the next day, and the next and next and pretty soon a few weeks have gone by! Some good advice several people have given me is concentrate on the big picture. How did you do over the entire month? Work on eating right and exercising well 90% of the time. That's great that you've lost 2kg and are eating right and working out. How many days did you successfully do that? Your blowing it for 1 day is a very small percentage of the time. Focus on how well you did the majority of the time...which is that you're doing great!0

Sure! Most of us (if not all) have been there at one point along the journey.
One of the biggest challenges in becoming healthy, is learning to eat in a sustainable manner. By that I mean, eating well the majority of the time but still enjoying the delicious-definitely-not-in-my-macros meal...and bouncing back from it! It's really important to still have those days where you can enjoy an "unhealthy" meal and not beat yourself up for it, because the main goal of MFP is to not be on a diet but to change your lifestyle. Life doesn't quit because you eat healthy, and you shouldn't quit enjoying food just to be healthy.0 -
Just get back on it. Don't say "I'll get back to it tomorrow" get back to it today, tonight.
Make a plan for the next week, write all your workouts on a calendar and cross them off every day once you complete them. It's super satisfying to check off every day and see yourself really making progress.
It is ONLY 25 minutes. Remind yourself, it's only 25 minutes. You probably spend longer in a day watching TV commercials in total than you spend doing T25.
Don't get too worked up, take it day by day but the first thing is to get back on it, right now.0 -
The thing is that i've done till today what you've said, overeaten the next days till today, and today i feel so frustrated with myself.I manage to do the workouts every single day since the monday last week till this tuesday, and the next day it all fell apart. And today i ovareaten too...i guess ill workout today anyway, and tomorrow i will eat clean right before waking up...0

I second the get back on track quickly train of thought. Get a glass of water, have a raw, healthy snack, get some exercise. It doesn't take long to remember how good these things make you feel.0

Thank you so much to all, even though i started today the wrong way,i'll finish it the best way possible.needed a little encouragement.0

Yep, start NOW to turn things around. You can't change what you regret, but you have all the control in the world over your next steps.0

YES, work out anyway today. Don't EVER write a day or a week off just because it didn't start well.
This is how you'll be successful, seriously.
Don't over-react. One day of bad eating does not have to bring down your entire resolve to get fit.
If you're feeling the urge to binge out on fatty or sweet food, maybe you're not eating quite enough to satisfy your calorie needs while working out intensely. T25 is a short workout but it's pretty intense! Try eating a little more if you are genuinely hungry on workout days, lots of protein.0 -
I know how you feel I had 2 BAD cheat days this week and I feel bad but don't worry just get back on track you feel bloated from all the sodium but eat healthy again and the weight will drop right back down!0
-
We all feel like this, dont worry! But you need to realize you've been eating so much healthier than you would have before you started your diet/healthy eating, we all have bad days we are only human, enjoy having a little break and back onto the healthy routine again, having a cheat day is totally normal on a diet anyways and has been proven to help!
Dont give up0 -
I have had days like that--this weekend has not been good due to my husband having surgery. I have to do this for life, not just for a couple months, and the only way either of us can move forward is to just move forward and realize that bad days are just a part of life. It is just a blip in the radar. So let's just move on from here and keep making progress. You can do it!0

Everyone has their ups and downs. Just keep moving.

And don't expect to lose 2 kg every week.0

When you were a baby and learning to walk, did you give up the first time you fell down? The second time? The twentieth time? One speed bump doesn't ruin it all or mean you failed. You can only fail if you give up and you have had plenty of things in the past that you kept trying at until you got it done. You can do it with this too. Keep up the great work, don't give up and it might be a long process but you will get to where you want to be.0

This sounds just like me!! Im sure every on on here has had off days or even weeks the important thing is that you have realized what is going on and your doing something about it. Its like everyone on here says start right now not tomorrow but the next time you eat make sure its healthy and you will be back on track in no time. Keep it up you will be fine!! :happy:0

i failed many tests while in college.

I have days like that all the time, it feels so hard to get back on, like im in a black hole sinking deeper, but like some others have said, just doing one thing that is good can take me out of that mindset and we will feel better, then the snowball rolls the other way....0
-
i guess ill workout today anyway, and tomorrow i will eat clean right before waking up...
That could be your problem right there. It's very hard to log accurately if you're eating in your sleep.
Seriously, though, it's not about meeting some theoretical "perfect" workout and diet regime every minute of every day. If you have a bad day or an indulgent meal or even a stressful week that throws you off your goals, that doesn't wipe out all you've done before (think how bad it would be if every day since you started had been a "bad" day), and it doesn't control the future.
And if you've set a deficit calorie goal, remember that going over it doesn't mean you're adding weight that day, if you're still below maintenance. And if you're above maintenance for the day, it doesn't mean you're adding weight that week, if you're still below maintenance for the week. And if you're above maintenance for the week, it doesn't mean that you're wiping out all of your losses since you started (assuming you didn't just start, and that you've lose more than a couple of pounds already). Pick yourself up, don't beat yourself up, assess for any useful lessons, and move on.0 -
I still loose weight even when i have had a bad day…just maybe .5 or .2 but it's still a loss!0
-
I think most everyone has had days like that. But unless you ate 7700 over your maintenance calories, you still weigh less than you did two weeks ago. One day is nothing in the grand scheme of things. Over time you just have to come out ahead.
Letting go of the past and 'mistakes' you made can be really hard. But I think that is the most necessary thing. Just think about making better choices in the present and the future. But no one can be perfect in some ideal diet and weight loss. There will be missteps and setbacks but you're not gonna ruin everything with a few mistakes. Like Kid President says, "We all mess up sometimes. The biggest mess up? Not forgiving each other's mess ups." Apply that to yourself! Forgive yourself and congratulate yourself on what you have already accomplished.
Lastly maybe interrogate why you had an overindulgent day. Was there free pizza and cake at work? Did you have a really busy day with no time for food prep so you ate McDonalds for lunch and dinner? Were you obligated at a family social event to eat all your granmas and aunties and cousins signature dishes? Were you emotionally eating because of sadness, anxiety, or boredom? If it's something like that, you can address the root cause.
Anyway, don't give up! I believe in you.0 -
You will never ruin it unless you give up. Keep going! You didn't get here in one day! You won't go back in one either!0
-
you only ruin it if you give up.0
