For people that work in professional settings

Me and a buddy are looking to start a clothing apparel company and I want to get some opinion of this.
The first product we're looking to launch are socks(starting from the bottom).

Right now we're debating about creating a product solely for work and one for sports(long socks).

However, what if we created something that would serve both purposes?

Would you use the product or would you prefer having a different sock for both purposes.

If you would not wear a long sock to workout in, what style would you prefer?

I cannot disclose details on the actual product, but it would essentially be designed to fit the needs of both groups, in one sock.

Thank you!

I do cardio classes. I prefer my socks cut off at the ankles to expose maximum skin for heat transfer. Same socks for work and workout? I've never really thought about this. I usually just take off my socks and shoes after work and wear the new workout ones. And of course if the workout is before work, I couldn't use them for work anyway

Agree. I would want to work out in fresh socks. I would not want to go back to work in same (work out) socks.

Would you wear these socks to work and then work out in them because of its functionality?

Or would you prefer a different style with the same functionalities for working out?

Again, having never really thought about it , there's the ick factor in wearing the same socks I've had on for the past ten hours. Plus I generally feel like I have to remove work socks anyway since it's easier to change pants without the socks on. So I would say I'd lean towards fresh socks, which I now conveniently tuck into my sneakers so I don't have to look for them in the gym bag

I HATE long socks when I work out. I much prefer an ankle sock but not those uber short ones either. I like the ones that go about half an inch to an inch over that little boney bit on the side. I also like it when they have extra thickness on the balls of my feet and heels because when I play bball or do zumba, if the socks aren't thick enough I get blisters and my feet get a burning sensation from too much friction.

for work I will pretty much wear anything although because i have to wear a work issued business shirt I like my socks to have personality (not that anyone sees them) but it means I still get to be me.

I think I would definitely get fresh socks even if the work socks did the job for exercise too.

    Thanks for the input!
    Really appreciate it all.
May just create two different products to serve both purposes.
