That's 4.5lb per week which is a huge amount to lose. And what happens after your leavers' ball? To answer your question it is probably *possible* but will definitely be extremely unhealthy and you will lose significant lean muscle. Alternatively you could amputate a limb. That should get rid of about 50lbs.

If you have 75+ lbs to lose 2 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 40-75 lbs to lose 1.5 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 25-40 lbs to lose 1 lbs/week is ideal
If you have 15 -25 lbs to lose 0.5 to 1.0 lbs/week is ideal
If you have less than 15 lbs to lose 0.5 lbs/week is ideal

not within a reasonable parameter that doesnt require something ridiculously drastic

just do your best within the time - if you try and lose it all and crash diet it seriously will just come back after you drop about 20 or so - been there before

    QFT.

Don't set yourself up for failure. Reset your expectations and find a more realistic and attainable goal.

No it is not possible or remotely healthy. If you lose 20 in that time you will be lucky.

It didn't take you 11 weeks to gain 49 pounds and you won't be able to lose 49 pounds in 11 weeks. At least not in a healthy way that will stick.

    This.

I am aiming to lose about 160 lbs.

    I was 407 about 6 weeks ago, today I am around 382.

Yeah, I have a lot to lose, but I am not 'AIMING' to lose 160 lbs anytime soon.

I have set realistic goals to be 350 by Memorial Day (end of May), and I'd
LIKE to be 299 by 2014 YE, but my actual 'real' goal is 315.

After that I will just take it as it comes, 299 is a psychological goal, once I hit that
I will aim for 260, and quite frankly I don't see me going much under 260 with
my body frame, 6' 4" and I am just BIG from head to toe, I don't have a huge beer
gut, just fat from head to toe...
