My resolutions as far as this website are concerned are all workout related. Pushing myself farther to see where I can go! I'm training for a half marathon and I want to be able to finish the race! So I guess mine are:

    Burn 4000-5000 Calories a Week
    Begin Half Marathon Training
Be able to swim a mile

mine is to continue all the good that is going on now... in the past, I lost weight, felt good, the for some reason would stop... almost as if I was scared to keep going, I was sabotaging myself and happiness with myself... so, my resolution is to keep going, even when I hit goals I have'nt seen in years,,,, KEEP GOING!:)

To get into a routine and plan things. There is so much that I want to see and do and I feel that I haven't given myself the opportunity to get it done this year. So next year, I need to plan out my days better to definitely include working out, more home cooked meals and going out on the weekends. There's so much to do in DC and I barely go into the city.

to quit being such a worrisome, crazy woman. stop trying to plan EVERYTHING.

i need to learn to relax, and accept things that may seem too good to be true (justin). and work on the self confidence a bit more.

    happy holidays! :drinker:

I don't normally do NY resolutions as, if it's worth resolving to do, why not start today?

However  my NY resolution will be to continue with my health and fitness aspirations and generally not relapse into the piggy unhealthy state I started this year

    1. Eat more protein (and consequently, fewer carbohydrates hence my new mantra: Just say NO to PASTA)
    2. Run a race each month (Jan and Feb half marathons signed up for and training is in progress)
    3. Hit a new PR at each race (2:20 is the goal for Jan)
    4. Keep up this newly acquired healthy lifestyle habit ("Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going." -Jim Ryan)
    5. SCHEDULE Yoga at least once a week
    6. Get to 143 lbs and under 25% body fat by May 1 (from 162 lbs and 34%, currently)

Good luck with all of your resolutions (although I don't like to think of them as resolutions because those tend to get broken or forgotten about by February)

Last year, I wanted to run a 10K. Well, I didn't get to accomplish that, so I'm extending it into 2011!

My resolution this year is to not make any New Year's Resolutions - I really believe that we set ourselves up for failure if we make them and then don't achieve.

I usually don't make resolutions because (to me) there's a lot of pressure.

Things I HOPE and will work hard for:

Increasing GPA from 3.3 (B+) to 3.5 (A-) AT LEAST.
    Run WARRIOR DASH!
    Lose the last 15 pounds.
    Manage my money better.
    STAY POSITIVE!!!

1 - continue without alcohol until May 2nd
2 - help DH around the house more - he does all of the housework & it's not fair to take advantage of him anymore :embarassed:
    3 - run at least five 5k's in 2011
4 - reach my goal weight by May 2nd
5 - buy a new wardrobe - without being eaten alive with buyers-regret/guilt for spending money on myself...

Mine is to drink more water and to do the C25K program. Oh, also to get a handle on my financial issues.

Good luck to everyone and I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a blessed and happy New Year.

My resolution is to continue what I've started here on MFP. 1200 a day net calories, and exercising 3-5 days a week. If I can get to 125-135 by June, I'd be eccastic! I've got 45 pounds to go...

To keep on track with a gradual weight loss, but not get DISCOURAGED! To drink more water, and be honest with myself about the state of my health.

Sort of like joining MFP and learning about BMI and BMR and six meals a day and 8+ cups water per day and MODERATION...

my resolution is to learn how to exercise in moderation, because if I go way over the top, I won't be able to keep it up.

What I really need is a life plan for food and exercise. I've been working on the food part, and I think I understand, so now it's time to make exercise a viable part of that.

    -maintain my new eating habits
-change up exercise routines to focus more on toning and less on pure calorie burn
    -be calmer with my children
-spend less time on the computer so I can get some of my projects done around the house

I hope to get my golf handicap down in the teens! (But that's gonna take a LOT of work since it keeps going the other way!)

I don't make resolutions. Resolutions are those things that people set every year just to break them in 3 months. LOL Serioulsy, though, I do set goals for the year and plan the steps to achieve them. It's that planning part that is the most important. Goals aren't achievable unless you do what it takes to achieve them, so you have to set that plan. I haven't done my plan for 2011 yet, because I've been waiting on my doctors appointment to see if I'll even be able to finish my goals for 2010. I think now that some of them may have to be carried over to 2011. It's hard to make bench press goals when you can't lay on a weight bench.

Well since I FINALLY kept a resolution, with the turn of 2010, to loosing weight, working out, and getting healthy I guess this year I would have to commit to keeping it up and getting to a healthy goal weight. Another commitment, I am making, is to start, as of 1/1/11, a daily "what's for dinner tonight?" blog. I am hoping that by blogging about what I cook, each day, and posting the recipe, that it may help others on this journey! Also I say "making a commitment" because to me that helps make me more accountable to myself than saying I am making a "New Years resolution."

get to 160 before or on Jan 1st 2011, and then lose those 15 lbs and get to my goal BF or 42% or less! keep running a 5k/month (so far have done Oct, Nov, Dec and have Jan lined up!!) and start training for a 10k. Get into those size 6 jeans for my 22nd birthday, learn more about nutrition and fitness, keep doing yoga and graduate with honors!! whew...thats a lot to strive for :)
