30 Day Shred Not A Challenge?

Have had a peek through a couple of 30 day shred threads - is there anyone out there who did it & didn't find it a challenge?
I currently do a mix of cardio, boxercise, weights & step for an hour 5 times a week. I tried Level 1 of the shred & although tiring I didn't really feel it pushed me. Does it get a great deal harder on Level 2 & 3? Or did some people combine it with other exercise or tag something else on the end of the 20 minutes?
Thanks

I completed 30 Day Shred last month, and I found it challenging enough for me to see a difference at the end of the month. However, I've done several other Jillian workouts, which a broad range of difficulty. One of the things she suggests in her other videos is if it feels too easy, add weight or more weight, and pick up the pace. For example, if you're doing jump rope or high knees, go all out for the 30 seconds you do it--you don't have to keep the pace of the girls in the video. For shoulder presses or bicep curls, go to 5 pound or 8 pound dumbbells instead of the 3's they do in the video.
Level 1 is pretty basic compared to the others. I found level 2 to be very plank-centered, and level 3 is a lot of plyometrics. I found level 3 so much harder than level 1!
Give level 1 a try again with heavier weights and speed up the cardio. If it seems too easy still, I would go on to level 2.
Best of luck!0 -
I use 3kg dumbbells and do the advanced moves, but yes level 2 and 3 are harder. once you've done the 30 days or so, try some of her longer workouts like banish fat boost metabolism and no more trouble zones with 3kg or heavier weights.0

Personally I found level 1 and 2 easy, but level 3 incredibly hard. Because I found the first two levels easy I lifted heavier weights and modified some of the moves to make them harder.0

I did 2 days of level one and then got bored. So I moved on to level 2 and that's where I'm at now. If I did go back to level 1 I would up my weights to make it more challenging.
I like to workout for an hour so I combine 30 day shred with ripped in 30 back to back. And that was challenging for me.0 -
Ah thank you so much for your kind replies!!! Think I may purchase some heavier weights for at home then and stick at it - just 20 mins of excercise somehow feels like i've cheated as never usually do less than an hour. Will add some of my own bits on the end too.
Sounds like this is the calm before the storm and Level 3 will be a shock to the system - good to know it's worth seeing out for the results.
Thanks again0
