I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant with polycystic ovaries... I've put on ALOT of weight during my pregnancy and would love to lose the weight afterwards. Has anyone been successful after birth with dieting and exercise who put a lot of weight on?? I plan to breastfeed.

Congrats on the pregnancy! I have a 9-week old currently napping so GO 2014 BABIES!
I helped a woman lose 50lbs after she had her son and has currently lost over 70lbs so it's definitely possible!
Feel free to friend me!0 -
Yep! My little one is 6 months old and I am exclusively breastfeeding him. Just log your calories and add breastfeeding- 500 calories under food. I also do a 20-30min workout video a day and walk with my 4 year old and 6 month old a couple miles around the neighborhood (weather permitting). i gained about 45lbs in pregnancy (and I am 4'11). I was 150 when I delivered and I lost 13lbs when I gave birth. I started WW in Feb (had baby in October) and went from 137 to 125 and now doing MFP and exercising and now I am 119. I still have a ways to go, but I am getting there! I gained the same with my 4 year old and lost it all and more with WW and exercise too. You can do it!0

I breastfed all 3 of mine.
Everyone says that breastfeeding will help you lose weight, and it's true, but what not everyone knows is that breastfeeding makes you HUNGRY. Like, if I ever tried to eat less than 2000-2200 calories a day, I thought I was going to DIE.
I personally did not have success with weight loss until after I finished weaning my last one for good, but others do fine. Good luck!0 -
Yes, breastfeeding makes me HUNGRY all the time. STARVING. Much more than being pregnant. What helps me is drinking a TON of water and eating a lot of fruit and veggies that are lower in calories. Make sure you eat a lot of protein too! I eat plain greek yogurt with stevia, berries, high protein granola and almonds every night and it helps keep me full until morning. If I don't eat it before bed, I am STARVING when I wake up in the middle of the night to feed the baby. I also eat two eggs in the morning on a whole wheat english muffin and this usually keeps me full until 11am. Old fashioned or steel oats are also a great option for breakfast and helps with your milk supply if you need a boost.
I also wanted to add, try not to get discouraged when you see women literally wearing their pre-pregnancy clothes home from the hospital. This is the exception, NOT the norm!!! It took 9 months to put the weight on, it will take AT LEAST that, probably more, to get it back off!0 -
I had a really hard time dieting while nursing. I was SO hungry and my supply would dip if I restricted too much. My advice is to choose healthy things to eat, eat when you're hungry, drink tons of water, and get back to exercising when you get the OK from your doctor. I lost all my pregnancy weight over about 9 months without having to count calories or anything. Then I gained 15 lb when I weaned lol.0
