So I do pretty good throughout most days, but then once my kids are in bed at night all I want to do is snack. Does anyone have sweet low calorie recipes for snacks or just suggestions? I lose all will power when it comes to night time snacks.

Take an apple and remove the core (but keep the bottom intact). Fill the inside with frozen berries. Sprinkle the whole thing with cinnamon and a little Truvia or Splenda. Microwave in increments of 30 seconds until soft. Mine usually take 1min 30 seconds. It's so simple and yummy and gets rid of the cravings!0

I drink tea or sweetened water at night a lot for this very reason.
If I do want something else at night I'll likely have one of the following:
1. Chop up an apple and sprinke cinnamon on it. Add a little honey and microwave it if you want for a warm treat.
2. If I want something crunchy and salty I chop up a cucumber and add hot sauce. Sometimes salt. No need to add salt but I do anyways because I love salt more than anything.
3. If I'm not hungry and just want to eat I will usually clean or grab my dumb bells and do a few moves. Or ab work. Something easy and if it's only 10 minutes, at least I've distracted myself.
4. Occasionally I have a bowl of lower sugar oatmeal at night. It's only 130 calories and it keeps me full for sure!
5. Air pop popcorn. You can get a hue serving for 100 calories. I use spray butter and seasonings to beef it up.
I do not give myself a snack every night, but maybe 2-3 nights a week tops. I will drink tea, flavored water, or like Diet Root Beer at night every night though. Brands like Skinny Cow make really good ice cream treats that are low cal as well. Their ice cream sandwiches are delish!
Nights can be hard!! Good luck0 -
Nights are the hardest for me too. And I have a sweet tooth! I also freeze a Hershey bar and allow myself one frozen square of chocolate a night. I try to find things to distract me. I've gone as far as shutting myself in my room at 8:00 just so I stay out of the kitchen. It's tough, but it can be done!0

Fruit
If you have to have something sweeter, then condensed sweetened milk is 130 calories per 2 tablespoons. As long as you don't eat more Han that, pairing it with fruit is a good way to get a super sickly sweet snack relatively low calorie.
I usually want salty pretty bad before bed so i haven't tried to much to find low calories sweets other than fruits.0 -
thank you for all the ideas. I will have to try one tonight. I think i will try the apple with cinnamon because i know i have that at home.0

I do mostly yogurt and fruit. Usually once a week I do popcorn.
The other night I wanted something sweet and different and I took two caramel rice cakes, some pb2, 1/2 a very over ripe banana (pb2 on the rice cakes, banana sliced on top) and baked it for a bit. Then I topped with 1 tbs ff cool whip. That is very non normal snack for me but it was amazing.0 -
I too fight like hell with nightly sweet tooths. Our family is in a way where we go to the Food Bank at times which doesn't always have the healthiest options. Yesterday a breakfast tray came in with coffee cake, danishes, and blueberry muffins. I scanned the code which surprisingly pulled up the items and showed they all had 105 kcals. So these aren't the worst things although their other numbers (sugar & carbs) are a bit high. I am working as a caregiver right now and just accepted a job offer to work with our local EMS company as an EMT so I am able to buy healthier foods and snacks now, although, the junk in the house from the food bank does not help.0
