What are the basic foods I need to stay healthy?

Recenty I have come across a salad I absolutely love....it's already made, but I'm afraid it may be bad.
It's Chicken Cranberry/Feta Cheese minus Walnuts with Raspberry Vinigrette. Would this be bad?
I really would love to be on the right track with what I should eat everyday.
If anyone at all can assist me I would really appreciate it.

If you stay with whole foods, just count those calories, and stop when you are at the top. The greens are going to be great, walnuts are especially good for you and full of nutrients (but you excluded those), feta cheese is a tad high in sodium, but you shouldn't have to worry about that; if the vinaigrette has olive oil so much the better.0
