I upped my anti-depressant last night (per doc orders) and realized this morning that my extreme exhaustion was because of that. Should I push through this and go workout or just go take a nap?

Try working out and seeing how it goes. It could be that exercise is exactly what you need to combat the fatigue.

Take a short nap, then try working out...maybe not as long of a workout as you usually do, but if you are up for it, something is better than nothing. When I am exhausted (like this morning), I still try to exercise, but take it a little easier (don't go as fast on elliptical, etc.) Maybe take a walk outside or on a treadmill? Unless you are at the point where you feel you could pass out in the middle of exercising...that is just dangerous.

I set my alarm to get up for 4:30a this morning (as I kept telling myself, "I want to get to the gym BY 5a!") but I was soooooo tired (I think I got 4 hours of sleep if that), I hit the snooze button every 5 min. until 5a....I was mad at myself, but knew I would regret not going (plus I don't have time to go after work), so I got up, went, and just took it a little easier on the elliptical (the elliptical still kicked my butt anyways)...I must have yawned the first 30 minutes I was on there...oh well. I felt better afterwards...
  • Push through it. Your body should adjust to the new dosage in a few days. At least try to do 20 minutes of working out, then if you are still feeling too fatigued to continue, at least you got a short workout in :)

Check with your Doc to see about changing meds!
