Went a bit sque ways on Saturday and Sunday, instead of behaving ended up heading out to watch football games and gigs so not even had dancing to help. But well having a not so great average of 5304 steps the only way is up!0 -

Rest days becoming a habit was one of my big problems for years. I would do fine for several weeks, then take a rest day. That day would turn into week and worse from there. Now I do seem to be able to have a rest day with out is sabotaging my entire exercise plan.0 -

Great steps, brandiwells1, but as you say, don't overdo it.
Dancing, getting out of our routine can definitely screw up those of us who like habits and patterns. Of course, life isn't going to let us always do the same thing over and over again, so it's important to work out how to roll with the punches and take care of the exercising and the resting--and the rest of life! I'm glad you've worked out how to incorporate that into your healthy lifestyle. I feel like I'm doing better with it this time around, too. (My eating worked the same way in the past; I'd be so, so, so good for months, but once I screwed up or was invited out to a dinner that threw my calorie goals all out of whack, I was way more likely to say screw it to the rest of the day/week/month.) This time, I feel as though I have a better handle on it and can incorporate treats and real life into my usually more regimented routine. Only time will tell, of course, but I'm feeling positive about it!0 -
