Please allow me to introduce myself...

... I'm a man of girth... and waist. I've been this fat for a long long year.... eaten many a dessert... and paste-ry!

Hello All!

I figured a little Rolling Stones parody would be a good way to break the ice. My name is Eric. I used to be in great shape (Marine Corps, Powerlifting, etc.) but that was a long time ago before marriage and three daughters. Now I am nearing middle age and more resemble the Goblin King from The Hobbit rather than my young svelte self! I have lost weight (and gained it back) several times in the past but after getting some alarming results from the doctor (and the fact that I am turning 40 this year) I am ready to work hard at making some long lasting lifestyle changes that will aid me during the back half of my life. So, that's me in a nutshell... about 60 pounds to lose... hopefully plenty of time to lose it.

If you need a friend or want to be my friend just let me know... I have found that the more support we have the better we do!

Love your introduction! Lol! Friend request coming your way.

I too have been up and down the roller coaster ride that is weight loss. Let's support each other through the insanity and finally get of this crazy ride! ;-)

I started singing n my head as soon as I saw the subject line...had to open it to see how you'd finish it off. I'm pretty new, but feel free to add me.

    Hey Eric,
I'm in the same boat. 43 now and need to trim a few off. Metabolism is slowing down making it way harder. This program was one of the best things I've done to loose weight. I exercise regularly as well but watching my food has been the key. Started out at 344 a week shy of two months ago, now I am 282. Still have another 60 to go but am doing well. Be happy to help if I can.
    Eric

Cedarkins: It is a rough roller coaster to get off of but we need to do it! Yo-yo dieting is actually worse for you than just being heavy (from an article I read... don't quote me on that.) I am starting the changes tomorrow... but tracking today just so I have something to look back on and laugh.

cbhubbybubble: Friend... added. Let's do this! I am newer than you so it's ok... we will help each other!

Ehample: The second Eric I have befriended today! I guess we, as Erics, are always looking to improve ourselves! Congratulations on the killer results!

I was sent this link via email by a mind reading member of the MFP community! I figured I would post it here since it probably can't be linked enough!
