Craving red food dye, anyone else?

Ever since I stopped drinking Dr. Pepper by the case, and I switched to water and a few crystal lights a day I have noticed that I crave red food dye products. Mostly crystal light red drinks like the cherry, fruit punch and cherry pomegranate . I do not like crystal light unless it is a red one....anyone else feel they are addicted to red dye? I wonder why this is. I looked it up and only found that children have a sensitivity to red food dye making them hyperactive, throw tantrums etc. anyone else feel addicted to it, or know the reason behind it?

Yup, I believe red food dye goes in pinot, right.

How on earth did you narrow it down to the red food dye?

Because that is all I crave is stuff with red dye in it. Weird I know but it's almost as bad as caffeine....

I like the red Chrystal lights because they have a similar flavor profile, not because of red food dye.

What I mean is, how do you know it isn't an artificial flavor, or a preservative you've decided to crave? The red crystal lites all seem to share roughly the same flavor base...

It was just a thought. I can't say it's that 100%. But it's an estimated guess....just wondering if anyone ever had that craving or read anything bad about red dye

try the red applesauce. No colour in Motts-it's red from fruit. see if that works.
