Resetting goals and challenges...

I had previously been involved in a fitness challenge and through a lot of hard work, ups and downs and support of a wonderful boxing team I was able to meet the three challenges/goals that I had set for myself.
My fearless leader and trainer likes to do a little talkie full of words of wisdom at the end of each session. I listen intently as I believe in everything he has to say.
Lately he has been talking about reaching goals and setting new ones... I had not given this much thought. I read a lot of comments, posts and hear a lot of talk about reaching your goal weight and then maintaining... Nope, not gonna work for me. I say, be happy but never satisfied! Once you reach your goal I truly believe that new goals and challenges should be established almost immediately.
Forward motion always.
With that said, for the record (because if you write it or type it out somewhere it becomes real and makes you accountable), I have established new goals/challenges for myself and am starting from the moment I hit "submit post".
One - Lose an additional few vanity pounds. As unrealistic as it may seem, I want to hit 110 lbs over the next few weeks. I know I can get there and I will get there. It will take a lot of discipline but I know I have it within me to achieve this goal.
Two - Work harder on body strength and toning the muscle I have and increase my muscle mass by just a teeny bit. That means upping my proteins, etc. While I am not truly ready to up my calories, fat and carbs I will allow myself to go over my very low calorie range now and again to get the extra boost and fuel that I need. Baby steps.
Three - Eat clean 100% of the time. No more treats just because it's the weekend or just because it's someones party or just because for any reason. Protein, veggies, dairy, healthy fats, all day long every day. Temptation is a ***** and it's a real challenge to say no to those salty snacks that I love but... if it was easy it wouldn't be a challenge.
Four - Which sort of is in conjunction with number three - Eat smarter, not less. Yup, I fall into the habit of eating less to lose weight, I think we have all done this now and then. Only human.... I have learned that by making smarter choices I can eat three times as much as anyone else while maintaining a steady and healthy weight loss, etc. I will focus on making better choices. Although I do think my food choices are pretty clean I know I can do better somewhere.
I am giving myself between now and May 20th, the day before I leave for vacation to achieve the goals and challenges above.
I will meet these challenges.
I will achieve these goals.
I will be rockin' a binkini and dropping jaws all over the beach on vacation.
Ready, set... GO!
Thanks for reading if you did, wish me luck

I'm curious as to your reason behind number three. Why no treats? Ever? Forever? How sad. :indifferent:0
-
Nah, not forever haha!
I just want to challenge myself for the next six weeks to see if I can do it is all. I am definitely a snacker and I do like some good treats especially over the weekends, but that always derails me and I am tired of the counter productiveness of it. It is more a challenge of my discipline and will power than anything else.0 -
OHHHHHHHHH, ok, six weeks sounds much better. lol, like a "Lent" type giving it up, then. Good luck to you! You can do it!0
