Late Night Snacking

Hey guys!
So I've just started my diet and I'm already feeling the urge to snack at night. It has always been one of my downfalls. I get extremely hungry and crave anything sweet or salty and I almost always go for something bad for me. Tonight I ate some unsalted nuts instead but I know that snacking at night is not gonna help with losing weight.
So my question is, are there any tricks you guys use to stop from overeating at night? I need help!

Aw man, I'm lactose intolerant so that won't work0

I do that too but I'm gonna try the brushing my teeth after dinner trick. Nothing tastes good with toothpaste. Lol0

I'm a night owl, so I snack/eat all the time at night. I hear all sorts of things about how it's bad for you, but it hasn't stopped me from losing weight. As long as your calories for the day are okay, and you are not binging a huge meal right before bed, I think you are going to be fine. Just try low calorie snacks that you would normally eat.0

I will definitely see it brushing my teeth right after dinner helps
I guess it is true that as long as I'm under my set calorie intake I should be fine but I feel so bad eating at night because I've always heard it was bad for you.0 -
I allow myself 3 meals and 3 snacks a day.
That way I can have a snack at night as well.
The best way to not get hungry is to eat healthy foods reguarly.
I am on a 1200 calory a day diet, and I haven't been hungry yet.0 -
100 calorie packs of kettle corn! you get your sweet and your salty0

YESSSSS!! I so do this, it's my main pitfall along with not going to the gym enough but what I find helps is if I snack on something low calorie that doesn't push me over my daily calorie allowance. Like rice. a small kids size bowl of rice with veg stew.
Also, I learnt this trick from a youtuber don't know if it's true or not but apparently alot of the time when you feel hungry it's thirst. So i drink like a litre of water or squash during the night.
Or you can try a cup of hot chocolate or a bowl of porridge both are very filling although not the most appetising they do hit the spot.0
