Why are they almost always annoying and misrepresent themselves and their cause? It annoys me to no end when the "spokesman" for something I support just ****s on everything I believe and stand for.

    Honest answer. I think the people who become the "leaders" get there because they have a lot of passion, but that it isn't always accompanied by common sense, or tact.
