Hello,
I work out with a trainer 1-2 times a week and I know he kicks my butt and I burn a lot of calories. How can I track that in the exercise section?
Thanks,
Sabrina

I track mine as circuit training as we are not taking breaks between sets and just moving to a different exercise.0

Have you asked him for an estimate of how many calories you should be eating each day? He should be able to help you get a number that will work with your workout regime, then you don't have to worry about logging it or eating back calories.
My trainer gave me my calorie goal, I don't bother tracking exercise most of the time, unless I've used my heart rate monitor.0 -
I just track mine as generic strength training since we do a pretty intense mix of lifting and cardio.0

I would say don't worry about them and don't eat back your exercise calories.0

Workout with a trainer doing what? Is he training you for a triathlon? A powerlifting meet? Swimming? Iron Chef? Are you doing "boot camp" stuff? Weight circuits? Elliptical races? Mountaineering?
Log it as whatever it is you're doing.0 -

if only there was someone that had personal knowledge of exactly what I'm doing that I could ask. Oh well...0 -

Forever a mystery.0 -
I log it as Strength Training in the cardio area... but I use a heart rate monitor and adjust the calories burned to match my HRM.0

But...
1st - You don't know what she's actually doing.
2nd - HRMs should be used for steady rate cardio only..not for things like strength training, circuits, yoga, and such.0
